Dreaming of a California Christmas

After dealing with frost bite for the last 2 months, I’m taking my beautiful bride to be to California to see my parents for Christmas. Where most people dream of a white christmas – I’ve always known christmas in 70 degree weather. So needless to say I’m feeling very excited to go to California once again. Here’s a couple parting gifts from Utah taken by Brandi McVay (the fiancé).

Christmas Around the World

Tonight I was able to attend a performance put one by the Brigham Young University Department of Dance. I challenge anyone to find a dance department with that much talent. The work able to cover many major countries traditional form of dance from China, India, and Russia to Mexico Ireland, and Scotland. The show was extremely entertaining. I would recommend it to anyone. It really helped bring in the Christmas cheer. I have some pics for you check it out.

California Bound Once Again

Here we go again! I am just now leaving from Salt Lake City, Utah where it just dumped snow all over the place to Southern California. First LA Thursday and Friday, then San Diego Saturday, then back to Salt Lake. I’m excited to see what The golden state has in store for me this. I’m also super stoked to use the new site I just partnered with uencounter.me, where I can pin where I’ve people and give shout outs to the people I meet along the way. I’ll continue to Blog, Tweet and Fb throughout out the weekend. Please reach out to me if you think there is something I’d be a fool not to see.

California here I come…

Great way to show gratitude and kindness in your travels

Hello All,

Recently I have joined forces with a wonderful website app that is now going to help me keep track of not only my travels, but the wonderful people I will meet along the way. Haven’t you ever had that moment along your travels, or after your travels when you wish you could reconnect with that one individual that showed you the way to best food in town or that locals only spot that if you hadn’t met that person you would have never since, smelled, or heard the sights, smells or noises that you will never forget? Uencounter.me is the solutions to your problem. It allows you to post your gratitude to that person whether you know their name or not, and on top of that you can pin your location throughout the world. As a travel blogger I can’t wait to use this great platform that unity great people. As it continues to grow, all of us will continue to see the benefits and our random encounters through out our travels will become not so random anymore. I encourage all of you to check it out. Unencounter.me

From Leslyn Kantner, the CEO and Co-founder:

“Uencounter.me is a relatively new Web application that was born from a curiosity of mine to see my life experiences ‘pinned’ on a map, to discover how I am connected to others, and most importantly – to create a venue where I can post messages to people in my life that have influenced or impacted me in a large or small way. I have traveled a great deal and have lived in a number of different places.I created a team and together we built and recently launched the site… our passion focuses on the expression of gratitude and kindness.”

I think this is really going to be great people. Please do yourself a favor and check it out. Click on the tab in my side bar on the right. Yup, it’s the one with the big pin and uE, you know, for Uencounter.
